Surrey-White Rock families are the cornerstone of our community.  Below I've included some resources to assist our local parents, children and students.

Government Links and Resources

Medical Services Plan (MSP) / Health Insurance of BC - insures medically required services provided by physicians and supplementary health care practitioners, laboratory services and diagnostic procedures.

BC Pharmacare - helps British Columbians with the cost of eligible prescription drugs and designated medical supplies.

ICBC - Driver Licensing, auto claims, insurance and registration.

Welcome BC: Immigration Services - Government of British Columbia's official site for Immigration and Welcoming Communities.

Families First - B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development's website providing a wide range of programs, services and resources designed to support children, youth and their families.

Ministry of Housing and Social Development/Persons with Disabilities - useful information to help you learn more about the resources available and how to access them, as well as disability assistance and eligibility criteria  for Persons with Disability Designations.

Applying for BC Employment and Assistance (BCEA) - information on applying for Income Assistance, including eligibility and an Income Assistance Estimator – to help determine if you are eligible and what you might receive.

Residential Tenancy Branch - provides landlords and tenants with information and dispute resolution services. Their website will help you understand your rights and responsibilities under British Columbia's Residential Tenancy Act and Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act.


Community Services
Peace Arch Community Sources Society (PACS) - a community-based non-profit organization which, since 1978, has been providing a wide range of services to individuals and groups in White Rock, Surrey and Delta.

Peace Arch Community Services (Alexandra Neighbourhood House) - As a unique neighbourhood house that is rooted in a heritage facility, Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides programs, services, facilities and  community-building events that address the evolving needs and aspirations of  diverse people on the Semiahmoo Peninsula and beyond.

Semiahmoo House Society -  a non-profit organization located in Surrey/White Rock,  providing quality services and support to people with disabilities and their families in the community.

Welcome Wagon - only national, Canadian-owned, free greeting service for families experiencing a lifestyle change.


Education
School District #36 - the largest district in B.C. and one of few growing districts in the province. The school district includes 124 schools located in Surrey and White Rock, and offer a wide range of education and support programs to students of all ages.

White Rock Library - a branch of the Fraser Valley Regional Library, the public library provides and promotes access to local and global information and ideas, encourages literacy and support lifelong learning for all Surrey residents.

Surrey Public Library - Semiahmoo Branch - a 22,200 sq. foot information resource centre for South Surrey, offering a welcoming and comfortable environment for families and individuals to browse and enjoy.

CEFA Junior Kindergarten
