White Rock and South Surrey is home to one of the largest seniors' populations in B.C. There are multiple ways for our older residents to stay active and to be a major part of our community.
Local Resources:
South Surrey and White Rock Health Directory - includes information on flu clinics, BC Housing Subsidy for Seniors and White Rock Shop by Phone.
Senior Support Services - assists Seniors to maintain or increase their independence so they may remain living in their own home, informing you of various programs that are available to assist seniors and if needed will link you to these services. We have several volunteer programs that reduce isolation and will support you in achieving a more independent and satisfying lifestyle.
Community Organizations:
Surrey-Delta Indo-Canadian Seniors Society - offers recreation programs and services for those age 55 and over, in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and English. Some of the services offered include financial counselling, cultural gatherings, meditation groups and immigration advice.
